The boy's name is Zhou Yanzhang, and his father, Zhou Sijiao, is well-connected with the Wang family and lives not far away. It is said in the marriage letter that if a man bears a woman, he will die with ten thousand arrows. There are no arrows to shoot you, and you will be beaten to death with random sticks, thinking that Bo Yukio's ring." Zhou Yanzhang died just like that.

Zhou Yanzhang's rebellion and abandonment are very abominable, but he did not hire killers like Chen Shimei. Although Wang Jiaoluan died because of him, he was not killed by him. He just committed bigamy, not a capital crime. If Jiaoluan didn't know how to write poems and had no talent, this matter would not arouse public outrage, and it might not be resolved; if Jiaoluan survived, the tragedy of the matter would be reduced, and Duke Fan would not kill Zhou Yanzhang. 《王娇鸾百年长恨》是《警世通言》中的一篇：王千户有两女，次女娇凤先有了婆家，长女娇鸾多才多艺，能帮父亲好多忙，因此舍不得她出嫁。娇鸾闺中寂寞，日常相伴的，除了丫鬟，就是继母的姐姐曹姨，因寡居家贫搬来同住的。在春天的清明节，墙外缺口处出现一个美少年，娇鸾脸红回房，却遗下香罗帕在草地里。

美少年捡了，却不肯还给丫鬟，托丫鬟传递书信。少年有情，娇鸾有意，一倡一和，来往不绝。曹姨发现了诗稿，建议娇鸾教对方托媒提亲。少年名叫周延章，父亲周司教，与王家也算门当户对，且住得不远。本来没问题的亲事却挫折了，因为王千户的笔墨公事，都离不开娇鸾的帮忙，还想多使唤她几年呢。

亲事不成，娇鸾和延章就想办法督促王千户和周司教认了干亲，便于频繁来往。最后终于有了肉体关系。娇鸾的不安全感也与日俱增，私下里请曹姨为媒，邀请延章自立婚书，一式四份，彼此一份，曹姨一份，焚天地一份，并赌咒发誓：女若负男，疾雷震死；男若负女，乱箭亡身。

半年以后，周司教此地任满，到别处升任县官。延章没有同去，又过半年，周司教来信说身体不好已回家乡，娇鸾劝延章回吴江探望。周司教已经为延章订婚魏家，魏女貌美且富有，延章很满意，也就忘了娇鸾。

娇鸾不断托人带信给延章，回信都是拖延的理由，三年后娇鸾终于醒悟事情有变，自己受骗了。委托一个靠得住的人再去送信。这次周延章懒得应酬了，干脆说了实话让娇鸾死心，香罗帕奉还，没有任何书面回信。

娇鸾痛哭三天三夜，做了长篇叙事诗《长恨歌》，连带过去与周延章的倡和之词，还有婚书两份，封好放入父亲预备送到吴江的公文袋里。打发公差去了之后，娇鸾就白练挂梁，用那块定情的香罗帕自尽了。

吴江县官樊公看到那封夹带的书信，惋惜娇鸾的才情，痛恨周延章的薄幸，又派人去南阳调查娇鸾是死是活。然后拘捕周延章讯问。延章初还抵赖，看到婚书才没有话说。调查文书转来了，说王娇鸾已死。

樊公提审周延章，说：“调戏官家子女，一罪也；停妻再娶，二罪也；因奸致死，三罪也。婚书上说，男若负女，万箭亡身，我没有箭射你，用乱棒打死你，以为薄幸男之戒”。周延章就这么死了。

周延章始乱终弃是非常可恶，但是他并没有像陈世美那样雇佣杀手，王娇鸾虽然是因他而死，却不是被他杀死。他只是犯了重婚罪，没有死罪。如果娇鸾不会写诗没有才情，这事儿就引不起公愤，很可能不了了之；如果娇鸾不死，降低了此事的悲剧色彩，樊公也就不会打死周延章。总之，樊公是个经验丰富的好官，只是过于意气用事。
