Because Sun Wenbin was dissatisfied with doctor Yang Wen's treatment of his mother, he held a grudge and intended to take revenge. At about 6 o'clock on December 24, 2019, Sun Wenbin repeatedly cut and stabbed the neck of the doctor on duty, Yang, in the emergency room with a sharp knife prepared in advance, resulting in Yang's death. On December 24, 2019, the public security organ filed a case for investigation; on December 27, 2019, the procuratorate approved the arrest; on December 30, 2019, it was transferred for review and prosecution; on January 3, 2020, the procuratorate filed a public prosecution; The Third Intermediate People's Court held a public trial of the defendant Sun Wenbin's intentional homicide case in accordance with the law, and pronounced the verdict in court at the first instance that "the defendant Sun Wenbin was sentenced to death for the crime of intentional homicide and deprived of political rights for life."

The court held that the defendant Sun Wenbin intentionally and illegally deprived others of his life, and his behavior constituted the crime of intentional homicide, which is extremely serious and should be punished according to law. After Sun Wenbin committed the crime, he called the police, and after arriving at the case, he was able to truthfully confess his crime, so he should be deemed to have surrendered himself according to law. In view of the extremely bad nature of Sun Wenbin's crime, the extremely cruel method of killing, the extremely serious circumstances and consequences, and the great social harm, although he surrendered himself, it is not enough to be given a lighter punishment. The court made the above-mentioned first-instance judgment in court according to law. It took only 24 days from the filing of the criminal case to the verdict of the first instance.

2019年12月4日，被告人孙文斌及亲属将其母孙魏氏送至民航总医院治疗。因孙文斌不满医生杨文对其母的治疗，怀恨在心、意图报复。2019年12月24日6时许，孙文斌在急诊抢救室内，持事先准备的尖刀反复切割、扎刺值班医生杨某颈部，致杨某死亡。2019年12月24日公安机关立案侦查；2019年12月27日检察院批准逮捕；2019年12年30日移送审查起诉；2020年1月3日检察院提起公诉；2020年1月16日北京市第三中级人民法院依法公开开庭审理被告人孙文斌故意杀人一案，一审当庭宣判“以故意杀人罪判处被告人孙文斌死刑，剥夺政治权利终身”。

法院认为，被告人孙文斌故意非法剥夺他人生命，其行为已构成故意杀人罪，罪行极其严重，依法应予处罚。孙文斌作案后报警，到案后能够如实供述其所犯罪行，应依法认定为自首。鉴于孙文斌犯罪性质极其恶劣，杀人手段特别残忍，情节、后果特别严重，社会危害性极大，虽有自首情节，但不足以从轻处罚。法院依法当庭作出上述一审判决。从刑事立案到一审宣判，只用了24天。
