而此次FN-6单兵便携式防空导弹也算是创下了一个记录，那就是便携式防空导弹击落四代战机而创下的军事史记录。因为在叛军使用便携式防空导弹击落米格29SE战机之前，还没有出现过使用单兵便携式导弹，击落四代先进战机的战例，即便是在乌克兰战场上，乌军接装了数千上万发便携式导弹，包括美制的毒刺和各种苏系导弹，也未曾击落过俄军一架四代战机。
因此，别看米格29名头一般，但是苏丹的米格29SE战机技术上是可以算作早期型四代机的，尽管性能拉跨，然而即便是这种落后的四代机，目前苏丹空军只有10架，被叛军的低成本便携式防空导弹敲掉一架总数就剩下个位数了，这也是够肉疼的。
FN-6防空导弹除了出口，解放军防空部队也有批量装备
当然，苏丹叛军打掉米格29SE战机并不是FN-6导弹的首个战果，这款导弹在中东地区服役多年，先后击落了米8直升机、米格21战斗机、苏25攻击机、米35武装直升机等目标。再加上此次成功击落米格29SE这样的四代机，可以说这凸显了中国武器装备的高技术水平。
当然，击落的都是俄军机，反正“砸”的也是他们的招牌，不过此次战果被广泛报道后，可能会在国际上再次掀起一次FN-6导弹抢购潮，中国武器装备的影响力将被进一步扩大。
不过，从中国先进武器在苏丹近期的一系列遭遇看，战争的决定性因素是人这个观点还是没错的，看看苏丹政府军，从中国购买了多少先进武器？包括卫士1、卫士2火箭炮、各式主战坦克，装甲车辆、FTC-2000战机、FN-6导弹等，但是自从战争爆发开始后，我们并未听到装备这些先进武器的苏丹政府军痛击叛军的消息，而是这些武器不断落入苏丹叛军手中，或者是苏丹叛军使用这些武器对政府军造成了重创。
可见政府军并未发挥出这些先进武器装备应有的战力，而是充当了“运输大队长”，将这些耗费巨资购买的武器都“送”给了叛军。
